English Championship side have a partnership with EachStep Blackburn specialist dementia care, and they have given the home the season tickets and a special exclusive tour of the Blackburn Rover Football Club stadium, according to a report from CareHome.
Eachstep bought four season tickets that will ensure two individuals that the care home supports and their care workers can cheer the club at their games to victory this term. The club even invited Susan Adlum – who is with EachStep, and her care manager Phil Benson to the stadium to pick out seats. They also received exclusive tour of Ewood Park, visiting the director’s box, players changing rooms, and the silverware area with the famous Premier League trophy.
The home in partnership with the club’s Community Trust has seen them create a sport themed room at the home, with the Trust donating unique pictures and memorabilia to help create a special effect. One of the service managers at EachStep said: “Football is one of the most popular topics of conversation at EachStep Blckburn, and our work with Rovers has helped the people we support to stay connected with the club that they love.
“By taking the unique step of purchasing season tickets for the people we support, with the help of the club, we can ensure that they don’t just enjoy the rovers memories of their past but can create new ones too.”
