Premier League legend Dimitar Berbatov has said that Max Allegri would replace Chelsea coach Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge as he did at Juventus when the Italian exits the team.
Allegri took over Juve after Conte in 2014 and he has gone on to surpass the achievement of his predecessor. Conte won the Serie A with Juventus but failed to make progress in the continental stage. Conte eventually left Juve to manage the Italian national team and Allegri helped Juve surge.
Allegri has helped the team to Serie A title in three year and has taken the team further by reaching two Champions League finals in three years.
“I’m sure he’d like to trump Conte and win the Champions League, that’s the one thing that’s evaded Juve for a long time now,” Berbatov said.
The player who is now a free agent added that Allegri would do the switch when the time is right.
“He succeeded him in Juventus, then he will go to Chelsea probably. English teams are going to want him for sure. But I think he will stay in Juventus for a long time,” the former Manchester United player added. Continue reading BERBATOV – ALLEGRI TO REPLACE CONTE AT CHELSEA

Owen Coyle has expressed his confidence that the club will be able to avoid relegation this season.
Even though the former Bolton and Burnley manager was brought in as someone who can help the club get promoted back to the Premier league, lack of investment in the playing squad has seen the new manager unable to make any sort of an impact. The club are languishing in the relegation zone even after having secured a 3-2 win over Brentford. This was the first win in four games for the team. Results have been highly inconsistent and Coyle is under a lot of pressure.

When football players eventually have to up hang up their boots and retire from playing at a competitive level, what they usually do is either become a manager or just relax from the world of football and spend the rest of their respective life with their family.
Gerard Pique on the other hand appears to be taking or wants to take a different path as the Spanish defender of Barcelona has recently stated his desire to become the president of the Catalan club after his time in the pitch runs out.
“I want to be president of Barca. It is the step I would like to take when I retire. I don’t see myself as a coach; I don’t think I would enjoy it that much. I could do very well for this club as president because it is my passion. My playing career will one day come to an end and the step I’d like to take is to become Barcelona president.” Barcelona’s Gerard Pique said.

Portuguese star player Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to UEFA Champions League football this Wednesday as Real Madrid face off with English outfit, Manchester City. The Real Madrid superstar will be encouraged by City’s loss to Southampton in the English premier League this past weekend.
The 31-year old will need no better inspiration to regain his fitness ahead of the clash. Ronaldo who trained on Sunday, will be well aware that Manuel Pellegrini’s big guns will return for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Manchester City. The forward is also aware that City’s boss, Manuel Pellegrini, could yet call on a few of the players that featured in last week’s first leg.
Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho played the first leg but was hauled off at half time during the weekend encounter. Pellegrini had described the Premier League’s refusal to shift the 4.30pm kick-off to aid City’s Champions League chances as “unbelieveable.”
“Gareth Bale, he’s coming for you!” taunted the gleeful Southampton fans as Dusan Tadic and Shane Long joined Mane in repeatedly racing in behind the City back line. The only standout player for City was 19-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho who scored his 12th and 13th goals of the season. Continue reading RONALDO SET TO RETURN TO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL
James Milner claims that Liverpool are good enough to beat any team on their day.
The midfielder was speaking ahead of the Europa League tie with Borussia Dortmund. The first leg will be away from home and Liverpool will be hoping to return with at least an away goal to show for their efforts. After giving up hope of qualifying for the top four, the club aim to reach the Champions League group stages directly by winning the Europa League. The club will have the right to be confident after beating Manchester United comfortably in the previous round.
However, doing the same against Dortmund will be an entirely different proposition since the German club are on a good run of form under the management of Thomas Tuchel. They are only five points from catching Bayern Munich in the German table and this is not a mean feat. Liverpool, meanwhile, are down near the top half of the table struggling to keep up with the clubs like Southampton and Stoke City. Milner, though, says that Liverpool have enough quality within their ranks – and a great manager – to be feeling confident of success against any opposition. The match will mark a return to the Signal Iduna Park for manager Jurgen Klopp, who spent seven seasons at the club. Continue reading James Milner confident on Team’s Performance
Ac.Milan’sSinisaMihajlovic is under pressure in San Siro as his team continue dropping points and are entering the middle section of the Italian League, Serie A standings. There was a point in time, earlier in the season where Ac.Milan had realistic chances of snatching a Champions League qualification spot that would allow them to compete in the European competition in the next season but as the season continues progressing on, this goal seems to be more and more out of their reach.
The 2 latest matches of Ac.Milan has seen them losing against Bologna and more recently, having to settle with a 1-1 draw against As.Roma. Ac.Milan has 3 more matches left to play in January and their opponents are: Fiorentina, Empoli, Internazionale. If the team of SinisaMihajlovic continue playing in their current form then all of these opponents are very likely to claim the win which could see SinisaMihajlovic’s time in San Siro reaching it’s end.
The Serbian manager SinisaMihajlovic took the chance to reveal slight details in relation to the current situation of the club as well as his own future in the Italian club and Sinisa stated that despite all these underwhelming results and performances from his team, he has no plans of resigning.
“Am I risking to be fired? It’s been like this since last summer, it’s part of the game. I am calm, we are improving. Of course we have to score more goals. Our team is fine; there will be some changes because some players are injured. Both Roma and we are doing worse than expected. I know the ambiance in Rome; it’s even more difficult than here in Milan. There is only a solution to get out of this situation: to win”Ac.Milan’s coach said as he disclosed all the rumors that were going on involving him wanting to leave the managerial position of the club. Juventus will not be selling midfielder Paul Pogba in this transfer window after the player reportedly told the club that he does not want a move right now. The French international is seen as one of the potential big-money transfers in this transfer window.
He is valued in excess of £ 80 million by Juventus. At just 22, he has the potential to go on and dominate the centre of midfield in any team for the next 10 years. This, undoubtedly, has been a major reason behind the mammoth transfer fee. The transfer fee itself is thought to be a reason behind clubs not making a concrete offer so far.
Pogba came to Turin as a free transfer from Manchester United back in 2012. Even his former club are reportedly interested in signing him with Manchester City and Real Madrid also leading the pack. After a brilliant campaign with Juventus in which the club won the domestic double and also reached the Champions League final, the performances ofPogba have caught the attention of these clubs. The midfielder made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Italian Serie A team and he scored 10 goals. The box to box midfielder could only improve with experience.
